The 1st 28 Foundation is growing, and we’re looking for passionate, skilled volunteers to help us expand our impact. These part-time remote opportunities allow you to use your unique talents to make a difference in the lives of survivors. Whether you can commit a few hours a week or a month, your time and efforts are invaluable.

All of our positions are remote.

  • Time Commitment: Flexible, 5-10 hours per week

    Help Us Spread the Word & Empower Survivors

    The 1st 28 Foundation is looking for creative and passionate volunteers to help design impactful marketing materials that support trauma survivors. This is a great opportunity for graphic designers, marketers, and content creators who want to use their skills for a meaningful cause.

    What You’ll Work On:

    • Community Partner Kit – Informational materials for potential nonprofit partners

    • Sponsor Proposal Packet – Professional proposals for corporate sponsorships

    • Crowdfunding Campaign Page – A compelling online fundraising page

    • Brochures & Flyers – Awareness and fundraising materials

    • Postcards for Journals – Inspirational inserts for survivors

    • Infographics for The Next Chapter Program – Visual guides for program steps

    • Volunteer/Donor Thank You Cards – Personalized appreciation materials

    • Press Kit – Media-friendly content for PR and outreach

    • Social Media Graphics & Templates – Branded visuals for online platforms

    • Email Newsletter Design – Engaging layouts for donor and survivor updates

  • Time Commitment: 5–10 hours per week

    Location: Remote

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and execute a social media content calendar.

    • Create engaging posts, including graphics, captions, and videos, aligned with our mission.

    • Respond to messages and comments to foster community engagement.

    • Monitor and analyze performance metrics to improve content strategies.

    • Stay updated on social media trends and recommend innovative approaches.

  • Time Commitment: 5–8 hours per week

    Responsibilities:

    • Research grants and funding opportunities for nonprofits, focusing on those aligned with our mission.

    • Organize detailed information on grant deadlines, eligibility criteria, and application processes.

    • Draft grant proposals or provide initial outlines for the team to refine.

    • Maintain a database of grant opportunities and track submission statuses.

    • Work closely with the team to identify funding needs and prioritize grants.

  • Time Commitment: 6–10 hours per week

    Responsibilities:

    • Compile a comprehensive list of hospitals, police crisis centers, advocacy groups, and community organizations.

    • Initiate outreach efforts to introduce The 1st 28 Foundation and its services.

    • Build and maintain relationships with potential partners.

    • Coordinate follow-ups and schedule meetings with interested facilities.

    • Document outreach progress and provide regular updates to the team.

  • Time Commitment: 8–12 hours per week

    Responsibilities:

    • Plan and organize workshops, fundraising events, and community outreach initiatives.

    • Coordinate logistics, including venue selection, schedules, and vendor arrangements.

    • Develop event timelines and ensure all tasks are completed on schedule.

    • Manage event communications, including invitations and promotional materials.

    • Oversee day-of-event execution and troubleshoot any issues that arise.

  • Time Commitment: 4–6 hours per week

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage email correspondence and ensure timely responses.

    • Organize digital files and maintain up-to-date records.

    • Assist with scheduling and coordinating team meetings.

    • Prepare and distribute documents or reports as needed.

    • Provide general support for ongoing programs and initiatives.

  • Time Commitment: 5–8 hours per week

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist in creating marketing materials, such as flyers, brochures, and newsletters.

    • Write and edit content for email campaigns, blog posts, and press releases.

    • Collaborate with the team to ensure consistent messaging across platforms.

    • Brainstorm and implement creative strategies to increase awareness of our mission.

    • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.

  • Time Commitment: 6–10 hours per week

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop innovative ideas for fundraising campaigns.

    • Research and connect with potential donors or sponsors.

    • Assist with organizing and executing fundraising events.

    • Maintain donor records and track contributions.

    • Provide input on new ways to engage and retain donor support.
